A survey from Tillväxtverket
The results of this survey will be presented as a mind map during the annual meeting to discuss the development of the monitoring system further. It is a very good opportunity for Universities with tourism research and education to influence the priorities of sustainable tourism development in Sweden.
As part of its governmental assignment, Tillväxtverket investigates various methods and practices for measuring and monitoring the evolution of the Swedish Tourism industry towards more environmental, social and economic sustainability. As an outcome of this assignment, Tillväxtverket will propose, in the spring of 2022, a set of assessment grounds eventually leading to a fully-fledged long-term monitoring system.
With the present survey, we wish to draw on the collegial experiences of Sweden-based tourism scholars in investigating the challenges and opportunities of the Swedish tourism industry towards more sustainable practices. The analysis of the results will serve as an important knowledge-base for developing our forthcoming participatory process.
The survey link is available by clicking here.
